A surprise letter from Lisbon
- 20.02.2019 21:37
- On 21 June 2017, just before the End of the School Year, our school has received a letter from Lisbon. It was a “thank you” from 14 year old Rebeca – a sick student, for whom we, with students around the world, prepared a birthday surprise. The students made birthday cards and sang “Happy Birthday” in two languages as part of an eTwinning project “A birthday card for Rebeca – getting viral on etwinning”.
There is a photo of Rebeca on the outside and inside she wrote a thank you letter and a couple of pictures of things one can find in Angola - her native country. We can see there animals, food, fruit, beaches and beautiful landscapes. Our students were very happy to hear from their friend. They got proof that their work didn't go to waste and that it is good to help others. The letter and Polish translation can be found on the main information board in our school.
The letter:

Dear friends
I want to thank you all for the letters you have sent to me. I was very surprised with your artistic didds. I enjoyed it very much.
On my birthday I had a beautiful day with my friends and teachers. I received many presents and I had two birthday cakes, one of chocolate and the other was a sponge cake with egg toping. I also received calls from teachers and I saw the project on the etwinning platform on my computer. I had a full day! I will never forget that day
Thank you!
I send a big „wee” kiss to you all.
