"Let's Code it! Teacher Hackaton" project inauguration

- October 27, 2017 at the W. Bukowinski Elementary School in Lubicz Dolny, a conference inaugurating the project took place. Among the invited guests were the representatives of the Education Board, the principals of schools and kindergartens from the municipality, the councilors of the Lubicz municipality, the local leaders an d the teachers participating in the project.
The conference was opened by the mayor of the Lubicz Municipality - Marek Olszewski. Among the lecturers were: Anita Streich (coordinator of the project), Dominik Blek (teacher from Młyniec), Barbara Lefelbajn -Saja (teacher from Lubicz Dolny) and Dorota Górtatowska (teacher from Złotoria).
Marek Olszewski, the mayor of the Lubicz Municipality said: "Our teachers learn modern ways of educating pupils by exchanging experiences with teachers from other countries. It is good that the main topic of the project is programming because it has many benefits, for example, it develops logical thinking.”
Hanna Anzel, the chairman of the municipal council thanked the directors for focusing on innovation.
Maria Mazurkiewicz, the representative of the faculty of education praised Lubicz: "I am coming to you with great pleasure because there is constant activeness, positive energy that also inspires me. It is not the first time it turns out that sometimes schools in smaller towns do much more than urban schools.”
During the meeting, we discussed issues related to teaching programming, its influence on the development of logical thinking, analysis, reasoning and problem-solving. In addition, the invited guests had the opportunity to actively participate in the discussed issues by performing a variety of tasks - decoding, “Ozobot” and “Lego We Do” robot programming.
Schools from Lubicz Dolny, Młyniec and Złotoria also shared "good practices" in the field of programming, which were implemented in schools before and during the project.
